IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

JNR IT TECHNICIAN X1 REF: (IVP-FIN 2415)

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Grade 12

·       Degree or Diploma in an ICT related field

·       CompTIA A+ Certification

·       CompTIA Network+ Certification

·       Valid driver's license.

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       5 years’ experience with data management and general hardware and software support.

·       Create an account for the user by using the applicable application.

·       Troubleshoot software related problems.

·       Apply the incident management procedure.

·       Demonstrate an advance understanding of TCPIP protocols.

·       Support hardware and software platforms adopted by the Company.

·       Troubleshoot network related problems.

     The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Reporting, Monitoring & Evaluation, Audit: Ensure that all ICT reporting is aligned with standards, guidelines and schedules.

·       Install and configure ICT equipment and software (Including desktops, laptops, printers, data projectors, VC equipment, access control (alarm & biometrics), handheld devices, applications etc..

·       Troubleshoot and diagnose all reported issues.

·       Add and set up new users on all relevant system.

·       Access the Help Desk to record, accept or resolve all IT calls that have been logged.

·       Troubleshooting and diagnosing all reported issues on the helpdesk.

·       Repairing and replacing equipment as necessary.

·       Responsible to provide support to team within area of responsibility.

·       Responsible to share knowledge and skills with co-workers.

·       Responsible to use communication and feedback channels effectively.
