IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

Utility Vehicle (UV) OPERATORS X 3 REF: (05 UMM-2025/06)

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Grade 12.

·       Valid UV Operator Certificate of Competency (for underground operations).

·       Valid EB Driver’s License.

·       Knowledge on the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and underground safety procedures.

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       Minimum 2 years’ experience operating UV’s in an open stoping, block caving, sub-level caving underground mining environment.

     The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Daily inspection and completion of equipment checklist before the commencement of work

·       Operating underground Utility Vehicles (UV’s) to transport materials and tools between work areas.

·       Ensure safe loading and unloading of supplies and equipment.

·       Comply with all relevant safety protocols, traffic rules, and mine standards.

·       Assist production and support teams with general underground logistics.

·       General adhoc tasks
