IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanized state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

                    SURVEYORX X1REF: (04 UMM-2025/06)

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       National Diploma or BTech/BSc in Mine Surveying / Chamber of Mines Advance Survey Certificate.

·       Previous underground drone experience will be advantageous.

·       Underground stake-out and mining mark-ups.

·       Month-end measuring and reporting.

·       Proficiency in AutoCAD, MineRP, Model Maker, Surpac, or Deswik.

·       Valid driver’s license and Certificate of Medical Fitness.

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       5-10 years’ experience in an open stoping, block caving, sub-level caving underground mining environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Carry out underground surveys to support production, development, and planning.

·       Conduct mark-ups for development and longhole sections.

·       Conduct engineering stake-outs.

·       Generate survey layouts for mining and engineering.

·       Month-end measuring and reporting for contract payment purposes and progress tracking.

·       Utilize survey instruments and software including total stations, scanners, drones, AutoCAD, Surpac, Model Maker and Deswik.

·       Work closely with the mine planning and production teams to optimize operations.

·       Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA).
