IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Grade 12.

·       Valid LHD Operator Certificate of Competency (underground).

·       Remote loading will be advantageous.

·       Valid Certificate of Medical Fitness for underground work.

·       Sound knowledge of mine safety protocols and traffic rules.

·       Ability to work shifts and overtime, including weekends and public holidays.

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       Minimum 3 years’ experience operating LHDs in an open stoping, block caving, sub-level caving underground mining environment.

     The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Operate Load-Haul-Dump (LHD) machines in underground open stope sections.

·       Load broken rock from draw points and stope areas and haul to designated tipping points.

·       Conduct pre-use inspections and report any mechanical or safety defects.

·       Work collaboratively with miners, drill rig operators, and shift supervisors to meet production targets.

·       Maintain a clean and safe work area at all times.

·       Ensure compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and site-specific procedures.
