IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

QUALITY CONTROLLER  REF: (07 UMM-2025/06)

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Grade 12 / Matric Certificate.

·       Relevant tertiary qualification in Quality Management, Engineering, or Mining-related discipline.

·       Strong knowledge of ISO standards and mining safety regulations.

·       Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant quality control software.

·       Valid blasting certificate.

·       Shift Boss Certificate will be advantageous.

·       Prior Shift Boss experience will be advantageous.

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       At least 4 years' experience in a quality control role within the mining industry.

·       Minimum of 4 years’ experience in an open stoping, block caving, sub-level caving and horizontal development in underground mining environment

     The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Implement and maintain quality control systems for mining operations.

·       Conduct regular inspections, audits, and sampling of materials and workmanship.

·       Monitor adherence to quality standards in line with company policies and mining regulations.

·       Compile quality reports and present findings to management.

·       Investigate non-conformances and recommend corrective actions.

·       Support continuous improvement initiatives and staff training on quality standards.

·       Responsible for inspecting the quality of drilling (long hole drilling and slot drilling) and charging of rings and slots.
