Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:
• Grade 12, N2, N3 Engineering Studies
• Trade Certificate
• Role Specific Knowledge - Yellow machine preventative maintenance & breakdown experience (Advanced), Underground experience, Workshop experience (Advanced)
• Technical Skill – Ability to apply Knowledge - OEM diagnostic tools, machine-specific knowledge and experience (Advanced), Diesel, Hydraulics, Auto-electrical skills and experience (Advanced)
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
• 4+ years' relevant experience as an Artisan Mechanic working across a range of tools, techniques and equipment
• Experience in the mining environment highly advantageous
• Fluency in English
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
• Inspect and prepare loads that need to be moved.
• Undertake planned maintenance and unplanned repairs on the Yellow Machine fleet, ensuring maximum availability for surface and mining operations
• Build good working relationships
• Coordinate, monitor and supervise the performance of direct reports
• Reduce costs and waste
• Support the Transformation agenda
• Follow the HSEQ plan for the Business area
• Provide feedback to be used in reports
