IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

                       1x SHEQ Officer – Ref: VIP/RDK-2508

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

·       Advise and give SHEQ related guidance to all personnel and site management team to ensure that all work conducted is done in accordance to set standards, rules, and legal compliance which in turn will reduce risk and failure costs across all sectors of the business.

·        

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Grade 12

·       COMSOC 1 & 2

·       Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment

·       Incident Investigation

EXPERIENCE:

·       Underground working experience

·       KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

·       Communicate Effectively with the team.

·       Willing to work continuous operation shifts and overtime as and when required.

·       Must be medically fit and willing or able to work on extreme heights.

·       Good problem-solving abilities.
