INTERNAL / EXTERNAL VACANCY
IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.
Security Officer (6x) – Ref: BV-IVP-2401
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):
· Threat and risk assessments
· Access control and Patrols
· Client liaison and professional client relationship
· Equipment management
· Effectively dealing with and managing client complaints
· Ensure that contractual requirements are always met
· Ensure compliance to the company’s disciplinary code
· Ensure all company SOPs are followed
· Health and Safety management
· Ensure all BPC policies and procedures are always followed
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
· PSIRA certification – Grade C
· Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 3 years security experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
· Risk analysing skills would be advantageous
· Bilingual (English and any other South African Languages
· Excellent written & verbal communication skills
· The ability to work under pressure
· Clean disciplinary and criminal record
· Willing to work 12 hours’ shifts
