IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

Security Officers X 12 - REF – 03/SSS – 2026/05

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       PSIRA certification – Grade C

·       Grade 12 (Matric Certificate)

·       Bilingual (English and any other South African Languages

·       The ability to work under pressure

·       Clean disciplinary and criminal record

·       Willing to work 12 hours’ shifts including weekends

·       Must be willing to undergo Polygraph Test, Medical examination and Induction Training

·       All certificates to be accompanied by MIE verifications for validity

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       Minimum of 3 or more years in Security Operations, preferably mining security

·       Ability to read, write and communicate in English

·       Alcohol testing and knowledge of searching policy and procedures

·       Must be a Local person with a relevant Proof of Residential Adress

     The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Threat and risk assessments 

·       Access control and Patrols

·       Ensure that contractual requirements are met

·       Ensure adherence to the company’s disciplinary code and policies

·       Ensure that ALL Company/Client SOPs are adhered to
