IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

                                   RADIOGRAPHER X 1  REF: IVP-SAF-2505

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Degree/Qualifications in diagnostic Radiography

·       Current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an independent diagnostic radiographer is mandatory

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, computer literacy, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

·       Strong computer Literate skills.

·       The ability to work autonomously and stay current on developments

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       3 – 5 years’ experience

·       Experience in the mining industry will be advantageous

·       Certificate in audiometry, spirometry, vision testing will be advantageous

·       HTS experience will be advantageous

 The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Performing routine and specialized radiological examinations according to established protocols. This includes operating imaging equipment and ensuring that proper techniques are used to obtain high-quality images.

·       Patient safety and comfort are maintained through engagement.

·       Operating and maintaining imaging equipment, reporting any faults, and performing quality assurance tests as required.

·       Involvement in administrative tasks related to patient records and departmental operations.

·       Align self and sub-ordinates to the health care strategy, company values and code of conduct.

·       Taking part in training and educational activities offered by the section.

·       Participate in the Internal and external audits.

·       Rendering emergency care services when required.

·       Willingness to work as a multiskilled member of the OHC team

·       Willingness to undergo training for and routinely undertake audiometry, spirometry and vision screening.

·       Willingness to be trained for and assist in the HTS climatic chamber.
