IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

  Positions Required

·       Dozer Operators

·       Grader Operators

·       Loader (FEL) Operators

·       Excavator Operators

·       Water Truck Drivers

·       Tipper Truck Operators

·       Roller Operators

·       TLB Operators

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Grade 12 qualification (only applicants with Grade 12 will be considered, Copy for verification to be available and attached to CV)

·       Valid Driver’s Licence.

·       Valid Professional Driver Permit (PrDP), where applicable.

·       Operators to be Medically fit and ability to work in outdoor construction conditions.

·       Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

·       Strong commitment to safety, discipline, and site compliance.

·       Operators will be required to pass Dover assessment.

·       Sound knowledge of mine safety protocols and traffic rules.

·       Ability to work shifts and overtime, including weekends and public holidays.

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       A minimum of 3 years’ experience operating the relevant machinery.

·       Experience working in mining and construction environment will be an advantage.

     The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Operate construction machinery safely and efficiently.

·       Conduct daily equipment inspections and report defects.

·       Follow instructions from supervisors and site management.

·       Work overtime when operationally required.

·       Maintain a safe working environment and comply with all safety procedures.

·       Adhere to all site rules, policies, and regulations at all times.

·       Always maintain a clean and safe work area.

·       Ensure compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and site-specific procedures.

 Please Note:

·       This opportunity is for various operators as listed above, a three (3) months limited-duration contract with possibility of extension. Successful candidates must be physically fit and able to work on a civil construction site.
