IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

           OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH NURSE SCREENER SPIROMETRIST X 2: IVP-SAF-2504

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Grade 12

·       Enrolled/Assistant nursing qualifications

·       Certificate in audiometry/vision/ spirometry/ screening

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       3 – 5 years’ experience.

·       Strong computer Literate skills.

·       Sound knowledge and experience in the provision of Occupational health and Emergency care

·       Knowledge of professional nursing principles, techniques, basic sciences, and of community health and welfare resources

·       Strong document and records management

·       Computer literacy (Ms Office, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, computer literacy, manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Willingness to be multiskilled.

·       The ability to work autonomously and stay current on development.

·       Strong work Ethic

·       High EQ and intuitive

·       Customer orientation, focus on excellence and teamwork                                       

·       Ability to exercise tact and initiative

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Compliance and application of Sect 22 and 23 of the Mine Health and Safety Act

·       Ability to accurately perform, analyses, interpret a lung function test according to established protocols and guidelines

·       Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of equipment

·       Actively participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and reliability of lung function tests.

·       Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with spirometry testing equipment and techniques.

·       Maintain accurate patient records, including test results, and follow-up care.

·       Involvement in administrative tasks related to patient records and departmental operations.

·       Taking part in training and educational activities offered by the department.

·       Rendering overtime services when required.

·       Align self and sub-ordinates to the health care strategy, company values and code of conduct.

·       Participate in the Internal and external audits.

·       Generate reports, quality assurance

·       Monthly audit with reports and actioned remedial actions.
