IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”.

Master Drilling Exploration (Pty) Ltd, with headquarters in Fochville, Gauteng Province, South Africa, and offices and engineering facilities in Zambia, Chile, Peru, Brazil and Mexico is looking to employ a Millwright.

1 x Millwright – Ref: VIP/RDK-2507

Key Responsibilities:

·       Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on exploration drill rigs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

·       Conduct inspections and diagnostics to identify and address mechanical and electrical issues.

·       Utilize your expertise in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems to maintain and repair drill rig components.

·       Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your colleagues.

·       Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

Minimum Requirements:

·       Qualified Millwright with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintaining and repairing exploration drill rigs.

·       Proven track record of working with various types of exploration drill rigs, including [specific models if applicable].

·       Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in the context of drill rig maintenance.

·       Familiarity with OEM specifications, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools for drill rig maintenance.

·       Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure to resolve equipment issues.
