IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

 

                                   HR COORDINATOR OPERATIONS: IVP-HR- 2405)

 

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Grade 12

·       NQF 7 bachelor’s degree/Advanced Diploma in Human Resource management or

Industrial Psychology.

·       Leadership and Personal Credibility

·       Interpersonal Communication

·       Citizenship for the future: Innovation, Technology, Sustainability

 

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       Min of 5 years Human Resources experience, of which 2 years in the mining environment in a similar position

·       Empowerment: helping customers to acquire the skills needed to implement HR management practices competently.

·       Continuous improvement: Seeks opportunities to improve HR business processes in one's own area of responsibility by identifying and communicating more effective ways to operate to address business needs.

·       The ability to take a systematic and integrated approach to data analytics and measurement-Builds spreadsheet models to calculate financial impact of HR initiatives within own process area, translating people metrics into economic costs and benefits.

·       The ability to attain high levels of internal customer satisfaction through the delivery of high-quality HR products and services for the organisation.

     The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Workforce Planning and Staffing: Develops shift systems and other workforce deployment systems balancing legal requirements with production and customer demands and keeping abreast with innovations in thinking.

·       Performance Improvement and Management: Understands a variety of performance improvement methodologies and consults to line managers to diagnose performance barriers and remedial actions.

·       Organisational Development: Understands the principles, methodologies and processes of organisational analysis and change.

·       Has a working knowledge of productivity and related concepts to be able to assist in design and implementation of productivity improvement interventions.

·       Attend relevant training and events as scheduled to ensure improved support, applications of new or changed systems, processes, etc. and pays particular attention to ensuring own personal development.
