IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

General Worker REF: INT-IVP-2601

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Grade 12 qualification (only applicants with Grade 12 will be considered, Copy for verification to be available and attached to CV)

·       Good physical fitness and ability to work in outdoor construction conditions

·       Willingness to follow instructions and work as part of a team

·       Strong commitment to safety and site discipline

·       Full Security clearance as per client & company standards.

·       Ability to communicate in English.

·       Value driven.

·       Self-starter and self-disciplined

·       Basic knowledge of problems solving skill.

Suitable candidates must have the following Traits:

·       Hardworking

·       Reliable

·       Safety-conscious General Workers

     The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Assist project teams with civil construction tasks, including concrete works, earthworks, shift work and related activities.

·       Perform manual labour duties as instructed by supervisors

·       Work overtime when operationally required

·       Work hours and pay weekends as standard for the company to be followed

·       Always maintain a clean and safe work area.

·       Ensure compliance with Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA) and site-specific procedures.

Please Note:

·       This opportunity is strictly for General Workers, a three (3) months limited-duration contract with possibility of extension. Successful candidates must be physically fit and able to work on a civil construction site

·       Transportation to and from work and accommodation is the employee’s responsibility, as the position is for local candidates only
