IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

DUMP TRUCK OPERATOR REF: REF: IVP-PL-2516

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Grade 12 / N3 / Equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification

·       Dump Truck operator certificate

·       Valid Code 10/EB Drivers License

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       2 years’ experience as an operator.

·       Compliance with SHE Standards, regulations and practices.

·       Adhere to PPE requirements.

·       Conduct safe behavioural observations.

·       Attending the SHE meetings and participate on the campaigns.

·       Responsible for the Dump Truck Operating Standards.

·       Responsible for the effective utilization of the dump truck.

·       Conducting daily inspections as per the dump truck checklists.

·       Reporting of defects and faults.

·       Providing assistance during the dump truck maintenance and installation.

·       Monitoring the filling operation and ensure that it is up to standard.

·       Transportation of material to the designated and tipping areas.

·       Adhering to tipping procedures and protocols.

·       Ability to communicate effectively (verbal)

·       Ability to give excellent customer service and handle pressure

·       Ability to operate machines safely and competently

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Complying with international standards, Mine polies and procedures, as well as safety protocols

·       Minimisation of machine damage by adopting good operating practices.

·       Enhance safety by ensuring operator presence and preventing accidents.

·       Ensure that the machine is refuelled and cleaned at the end of every working shift.

·       Ensure compliance to MHSA Act
