INTERNAL / EXTERNAL VACANCY

 IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

Driver X 1 – Limited duration contract of employment (Ref:EP2402)

The purpose of this role is to ensure timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents, as well as accurately sorting, filing, storing, and retrieving of electronic and hard copy documents, and ensuring the smooth daily management of documentation on the project.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Delivery / collection of goods

·       Counter collections

·       Housekeeping

·       Safety

·       Deliver goods to customers (internal/external)

·       Obtain the necessary signed and stamped PODs on delivery to customers.

·       Collect goods from suppliers and customers.

·       Check vehicle before taking on a trip for roadworthy and maintenance.

·       Report any defect on the vehicle.

·       Assist as and when required with all aspects of general workshop duties such as:

·       Cross check with customer collecting.

·       The receiving of goods from the various suppliers i.e. offloading of containers and the opening and unpacking of parcels received.

·       Verifying the items received against the relevant documents to be correct in quantity and part number.

·       Check items received and the general condition of the packaging to be free from any defects. Report any such defect.

·       All safety and housekeeping aspects in the Workshop

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE          

Minimum

·       Competences, skills and experience

·       Valid driver’s license

·       Grade 12

·       A good knowledge and understanding of Epiroc products.

·       Good communication skills

·       Good customer relations

·       Interpersonal skills to work as part of the Workshop team.

·       Understanding of flow of goods through a Workshop

·       Sense of urgency
