IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

                       4 x Operators – Ref: VIP/RDK-2504

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES):

·       Safe operating of Rig during all operations from set-up to tear down, more specifically this will include the Site prep and setup, operational risk management, demobilization of the Rig.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:

·       Secondary Qualification of Minimum Grade 12

·       Medically Fit.

EXPERIENCE:

·        At least 2-5 years’ experience as an operator, added advantage qualified as an Electrician or Fitter underground working experience with Viper SV-450 Drill Rig.

·       Good communication skills, Leadership ability and technical knowledge.

·       Read, write & speak English

·       KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

·       Communicate Effectively with the team.

·       Willing to work continuous operation shifts and overtime as and when required.

·       Must be medically fit and willing or able to work on extreme heights.

·       Good problem-solving abilities.
