•      Grade 12, N2, N3 Engineering Studies

•      Trade Certificate

•      Qualified Artisan, Mechanical or Electrical

•      Underground TMM and Machinery Experience

•      Courses in Safety, Risk Assessment

•      Underground experience (Advanced), Understanding of OEM brands, machines

•      Auto-electrical skills (Advanced)

•      Brand-specific (i.e. OEM) skills

•      Computer skills

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

•      4+ years as a qualified artisan

•      Fluency in English

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

•      Undertake planned maintenance and unplanned repairs on machines, ensuring maximum availability for mining operations

•      Build working relationships across teams and functional lines to enhance work delivery, collaboration and innovation

•      Manage self and show up as a good team player

•      Monitor costs or expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies and reduce waste

•      Support Transformation in terms of people, automation/ digitization and sustainability

•      Integrate HSEQ into all work processes

•      Adhere to and improve reporting processes for area of responsibility
