EXTERNAL VACANCY

IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to  develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

ARTISAN LEARNERSHIPs (REF: IVP-HRD- 2615)

Suitable candidates must have the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Grade 12

·       Applicants are required to have a grade 12 certificate with Maths and Physical Science passed on a  minimum Grade of 60% and with N2 qualification in engineering study.

The programme will cover qualifications speciality of technical positions relevant to Ivanplats Mine within the following discipline.

 Auto Electrician

·       Boilermaker

·       Diesel Mechanic

·       Fitter & Turner

·       Instrumentation

·       Mechanical Fitter

·       Millwrights

·       Rigger

 Duration and Conditions:

·       The successful candidates will be enrolled in a learnership programme for a maximum period of 3 years or upon receiving of Trade qualifications (whichever comes first).

·       Candidates must be prepared to work underground and on surface, in all mining operations for Mining related qualifications.

·       Must pass the relevant medical fitness examination.

·       Willing to go through relevant capability assessment tool
