IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanized state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to develop this “mine of the future”. Suitably qualified and experienced candidates are invited to apply for the following vacancies required for the project development.

                    ARTISAN DIESEL MECHANIC UG X 3 REF: (IVP-ENG-2505)

Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:

·       Grade 12 or NQF Level 4

·       Relevant Trade Certificate

·       First Aid Certificate

·       Driver’s License

Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:

·       Minimum of 4 years relevant TMM experience in a mining environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:

·       Responsible for maintaining and repairing the diesel fleet, managing any mechanical issues and carrying out routine inspections of the equipment.

·       Maintenance of TMM, Diesel by generator and diesel standby.

·       Replacing, testing and checking.

·       Adherent to the jobs and repair procedures.

·       Housekeeping of workplace to international standards

·       Complete all associated paperwork.

·       Work as directed to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.

·       Ensuring inspections are carried out on all equipment before use.

·       Ensuring that all tools and equipment are serviceable and safe.
